This is not therapy.
For some of us, events in our lives create what modern culture defines as trauma, in all its forms. Some people experience what they defined as mental illnesses, or other forms of psychological distress and imbalance.
In Connect, we honor that, and stay Radically Responsible for the physical and mental safety of our participants.
𝐒𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲:
The emotional and transformational work we do in trainings, meetings, or other spaces is not for those who experience one or more of the conditions mentioned above.
This includes, but is not limited to:
active trauma states, PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar conditions, psychosis, or any condition requiring ongoing psychological or psychiatric support.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞
This work is not for people currently experiencing the conditions listed above.
If you are currently in psychiatric treatment, or taking medication related to mental health, this work is not suitable for you.
The same applies if you are in a period of crisis, major psychological disruption, or instability in your basic life conditions, such as not having stable housing or being in acute financial distress.
If any of these apply, we ask you to take care of what you need first, including working with a qualified professional where relevant.

Connect work is about bettering your life and your situation on all levels.
The emotional work we do is designed to strengthen your emotional state, and support you in becoming more resilient and able to navigate life challenges.
Because of the nature of this work, it may activate or intensify emotional states, including previously unresolved experiences. For those who come to it from the right place, this can be beneficial.
By reading this, you are expected to clearly understand what this work is, and what it is not.

This work is not therapy, and it is not designed to treat or resolve psychological conditions.
This work is not facilitated by licensed mental health professionals, and does not claim to be a substitute for professional care.
We do not assess, diagnose, or evaluate your mental health condition in any way.
Facilitators are not equipped to provide crisis intervention or psychological support during acute emotional or mental health situations.

By joining any training or aspect of this work, you confirm that your mental health does not currently require professional support, and that you voluntarily choose to participate.
You are solely responsible for assessing whether this work is appropriate for your current mental and emotional state.
You take full responsibility for your participation and its impact on you.
If you have any doubt or history of such conditions, you are required to consult with a qualified mental health professional and bring formal approval as a condition of joining.
We work with many people for whom this work is beneficial to their emotional state and emotional body, and we continue to hold it with care, awareness, and Radical Responsibility.
